Walking As If......
This message is about how to decide not to let the critical mind rule, to get it to step back and allow other thoughts to move forward. Not so easy, right? It requires exercise and effort.
The Faith of Knowing You Know....Without Knowing How.....
Survival mentality allows our negative, critical mind to come up with a lot of "what if's"
and assign them with negative consequences. Like....
"That's just the way it is"
"There's nothing I can do"
"I'd rather play it safe"
But it feels to me like a life controlled by the critical mind is a life stuck in that liminal "okay" place. Nothing dangerous or harmful, but also nothing incredibly exciting or different.
Once we commit to 'walking as if', we're immune to the emotional noise that's everywhere. Having faith in the commitment is like wearing armor in the arena.
Ease, Joy, Knowing....
"What if"....you start today by asking yourself this question and inserting a positive outcome?
What if.................? (what would you put here?)
and then maybe
What if............I don't?? (what would you put here?)
What's the worst thing that could happen if I try? Opportunity is out there. We just need to have a mindset that is trained to make positive forward motion. Simple in concept, but effort is needed to make it happen. And it can be scary to put ourself out there. But when we do....it's empowering, right?
That's when we're Walking As If.
